Barwea's home and water!!

5/7/2024

Barwea

The foundation of the house for the National Coordinator, President, and Principal of the Rise Liberia Frank Town Academy in Liberia, Barwea Toteh, is presently being built on the six(6) acres landed property of Rise Liberia, Inc.

Barwea and his family have been living in a few rooms in Monrovia for the past 14 years where they have struggled with the issue of flooding during the rainy season which begins in April and ends in October of every year. By the grace of God this will be the year he and his wife and children say goodbye to damp rooms, bedding, and clothes!

Beside the new house/foundation is a borehole (water well) that was donated by the Lake George School in New York through Sarah Olson, a faculty of the school. The water well has started providing drinking water for the Frank Town community. The depth of the borehole is 150ft.  This is the only water well in this community that is able to produce and provide water during all seasons. During the dry season in Liberia where water wells are the major sources and means of water, most, if not all of the wells, are dried up.

Thank God for Lake George School and Sarah Olson for the borehole. "Water is Life.” May God bless you for providing life to the Frank Town community and the kids of Rise Liberia Academy.

Foundation

The next step will be to complete the house and move on to erect classrooms for the next grades. This is urgent because our small school house in the village is packed to capacity with 90 children and others are waiting to apply.
